stupid monitors

grr my monitors (ive got 2 connected) really annoy me coz i always complete a photoshop pic sitting down.. and then when i stand up, i see the screen from a different angle and its not as dark.. and then my photoshop pics just look crap coz i can see all the spots where i havent blended well enough and all these lil details which i cant see when im sitting down.. like AHH its just frustrating because i always have to go back and fix all these lil details lol, cos im guessing alot of ppl would have different screen settings n see all the mistakes too. hah stupid thing to complain about but yeah. yep thats just my lil rant lol. anyone else have the same problem??

yeah this is a problem, and the worst you dont know how other people seeing your work, diffrent colors, brightness etc.

always got that problem -__- really hard with photography and printing too, discovered that with my last assesment.
And who would've known that getting the "best" quality LCD is the most frustrating.. i put it on another screen and all the details lost - and calibration does nothing in this case =S

I've noticed that the colors of things look really off on other peoples screens. My pic selene's skin looks really really orange on my friends computer and I was like whaaa? this doesn't look like that!

it looks acceptable on my screen but when i open it using a different pc, it looks like trash XD :( the colors are different and also the spots that i tried to hide coz they are so eww appeared XD i guess it cant be helped ^^; anyway im good just to know it looks good on my screen :D that's enuf for me :D

Yeah, digital has its pros and cons, one of which is the monitor. If not set right or viewed at the right angle it will frustrate.

Yup, same problem here as well. I used to cringe even more when I was doing my stuff on an old CRT monitor where I had to keep the brightness set so dark otherwise nothing looked right. I'd work on images, then have to go view them on another computer to see where my mistakes and touch-ups were. Serious pain in the bum. I'm MUCH happier with my LCD in that respect.

Looks like a problem everyone has. Maybe we should start a "preview" forum to upload stuff to and have everyone say how it looks on their monitors.
I've seen stuff uploaded that was so dark I couldn't make out the image. I'm guessing that artist had her monitor tweaked all the way up on the brightness or something.

That's the problem with the plasma screens, they look different from different angles. Sometimes when I watch a film on my laptop and it gets too dark I can hardly make out anything for instance.
